Christmas is probably the most celebrated event on the Christian calendar, even more so than Easter. Every year pastors have at least one Christmas related sermon with many celebrating the entire month of leading up to Christmas also known as the advent season.
Because Christmas sermons are given year after year, it is often hard to come up with new material to use – it’s the same story year after year after all. Fortunately we’re here to help. Here are some Christmas sermons from past years to get you started. Feel free to use them as starters for your own sermons, leading devotions, or for your Christmas services.
If you happen to read through all of the Christmas sermons, you’ll notice that there is a lot of similarity between some of them. That’s in part because they are all on the same passage so there’s bound to be some repeat in ideas and even the way things are said. However, some of the repeat is simply because we’ve plagiarized our own past sermons and said the exact same thing a few years later. It’s really kind of hard not to, so our recommendation is just that you don’t use similar sermons two weeks in a row.
